Mini Curriculum Vita


Formal Education

My education includes an undergraduate degree in Art History from the University of California, Irvine. I minored in Education, as well, and followed that with a Preliminary SB2042 Multiple Subject Credential at California State University, Fullerton. I have since cleared my credential and earned my professional Clear Credential from California State University, Fullerton and University of California, San Diego.

Experience

I have worked in education since 2000, but started in the public school system in 2002. My experience includes work as a volunteer, tutor, Student Teacher, Teacher's aide, intervention teacher, classroom teacher, and guest (substitute) teacher. I have worked in the following elementary school districts: Santa Ana, Tustin, East Whittier, Irvine, Anaheim City, Fullerton, Westminster, and Garden Grove.

Additional Education and Experience

Other areas of study include photography, Japanese, beginning drawing, beginning voice, Adult, Infant & Child CPR, and many years of participation in choral groups. I am certified to work with special populations according to California state requirements
My experience also includes ten years of summer day camp counseling during which I also served as Assistant Director for two years. Additionally, I had the privilege of coaching elementary Track and Field participants at my former elementary school. Finally, I accepted a teaching position in Mito, Ibaraki, Japan as a Junior High School Assistant Language Teacher for nine months during which I guided conversation lessons and assessment in English As a Foreign Language.

Skills

I am proficient in Word, e-mail, typing, and internet use. I am also familiar with Power Point, One Note, Excel, Windows Movie Maker, and now Blogger. I possess a digital SLR and a digital camcorder. lastly, I have some conversational ability in Spanish.
